AlaraOS
Nothing about your care gets lost between visits.
A home health visit gives us one important piece of the patient’s story. The rest unfolds between visits — symptoms change, medications change, a caregiver notices something new, a physician sends an order, or an authorization approaches renewal.
AlaraOS is the operating system Alara uses to keep those pieces connected around the patient.
Important information should not live in five different places.
Clinical care, physician communication, scheduling, follow-up, and federal-program requirements are different kinds of work, but they affect the same person. When they are disconnected, the family often becomes the person trying to keep everything together.
AlaraOS gives our team a shared view of what is happening, what has changed, what is waiting on someone else, and what needs attention next.
The clinical picture
Assessment findings, symptoms, function, medications, wounds, care-plan information, and meaningful changes can be followed over time instead of treated as isolated visits.
Physician communication
When a treating clinician needs an update, the care team can work from the relevant clinical information rather than asking the family to reconstruct what happened.
Authorizations and documentation
For federal-program patients, the team can track the home-health authorization and supporting documentation work that applies to Alara’s care.
Follow-up
Open work stays visible — who is responsible, what it is waiting on, and what the next step is — so the team has a clearer picture of what still needs to happen.
The system behind every nurse.
Every signal about a person becomes one living record. Explore it:
AlaraOS supports clinical judgment. It does not replace it.
The system can organize information, surface patterns, keep deadlines visible, and help the team see a change in context. It cannot decide what a patient needs, diagnose a new condition, change a plan of care, or make a physician’s decision. Those decisions stay with the people responsible for making them.
Technology
Does the tracking, organization, reminders, history, and visibility around the work.
Nurses and clinicians
Assess the patient, interpret clinical information, decide what requires action, and communicate what matters.
Physicians
Make the medical decisions and sign the orders and documentation that require physician judgment.
DOL and other payers
Make their own eligibility, coverage, and authorization decisions. Alara tracks and supports the home-health work; AlaraOS does not make those decisions for them.
A change at home should be able to travel to the people who need to know.
A caregiver notices that a patient is stopping halfway to the kitchen because of shortness of breath. That observation matters first because it may be clinically important — not because it creates a task in software.
The nurse can assess the change, compare it with the patient’s baseline, document what is happening, and determine whether the physician needs to be contacted. AlaraOS helps keep that information and the follow-up connected so the next person is not starting from zero.
That is the role of the system: make it easier for good clinical work to continue across time and across people.
See if Alara can help.
We built AlaraOS because complex home health creates a lot to track. The point is not to make care feel more technological. It is to give nurses and the rest of the care team a better system for doing the work around the patient.
