Published rates. A nurse who answers. No games.
Most agencies make you call three times to hear a price. Ours are printed below — the same for every family, every day. Because comparing care during the hardest week of your year shouldn't require a negotiation.
What care costs. In writing.
Presence, safety, and a life that keeps moving: meals, errands, light housekeeping, medication reminders, rides to appointments, company worth having.
Hands-on help with the day itself: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility — delivered with skill and dignity, supervised by a nurse.
Memory care, behavioral support, and higher-acuity needs — caregivers trained for the work, with RN oversight built into every plan.
Four-hour minimum per visit. · Live-in care: $475 per day. · Rates adjust once per year, in writing, with notice — never mid-year, never by surprise.
Every hour includes
- A nurse-built care plan, reviewed by our Director of Nursing
- RN supervision visits — not just a caregiver and good luck
- Electronic visit verification: you see the hours that happened
- Backup coverage when a caregiver is sick — the shift still happens
- One clear statement every month, built for reimbursement
- A Care Guide who answers the phone — one hour, our promise
Our pricing pledge
We will never price care as a percentage of your benefit, settlement, or pension. Some agencies quote higher when they learn a family has VA money or a federal award coming. Our rates are printed on this page — they're the same whether you're paying from a paycheck, a pension, or a settlement. Your money is private. Our prices aren't.
Most families pay less than the card — because we document like it matters.
Wartime veterans & surviving spouses
VA Aid & Attendance can offset much of the cost of care you pay for yourself. Our monthly statements are built to document unreimbursed care exactly the way the VA needs to see it. See how the pension works, and run your numbers →
Families with a federal award or settlement
RECA, workers' compensation, or another federal award? Published rates mean your dollars buy hours, not negotiations — and we'll check, free, whether what applies to you includes programs that cover care entirely. Start with the two-minute check →
Long-term care insurance
Our documentation supports LTC policy claims — visit records, care plans, and statements that pass adjuster review the first time.
Already covered by a program?
Many families use both: program-paid hours plus private hours for the coverage gaps — evenings, weekends, more days. One agency, one care plan, one statement that keeps the two cleanly separate.
What families ask about paying privately
Why does Alara publish its home care rates?
Because hiding prices serves agencies, not families. You're comparing care in a hard week; you deserve numbers without a sales call. If a competitor beats our rate, ask them to put it in writing on their website. We did.
Are you the cheapest in Las Vegas?
No, and we don't try to be. We're nurse-owned, every plan has RN oversight, shifts are backed up, and hours are electronically verified. Cheaper exists. This is what care that actually shows up costs.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Four hours per visit. Below four hours, good caregivers can't build a sustainable schedule, which means the person showing up at your door changes weekly — or doesn't show at all. Reliability is the product. Four hours protects it.
Do you take insurance or long-term care policies?
We bill federal programs directly for eligible patients, and our statements support long-term care insurance claims. For private-pay care, payment is by ACH, card, or HSA/FSA, with one clear statement every month — and if a program pays part of your care, the statement separates program-paid and family-paid hours cleanly, which is exactly what the VA and insurers want to see.
Can VA Aid & Attendance reimburse what I pay?
For qualifying wartime veterans and surviving spouses, the pension can offset much of the out-of-pocket cost of care. Our monthly statements are built specifically to document unreimbursed care the way the VA needs to see it.
Will my rate change?
Rates adjust once per year, in writing, with notice. Never mid-year, never by surprise.
Can I change or stop service?
Yes. Adjust hours with notice, pause for a hospital stay, stop when you need to. No long-term contracts, no cancellation penalties buried on page nine.
One call. A nurse. Real numbers.
Tell us what's happening at home. We'll tell you what it costs, what could reimburse it, and whether a program might cover it entirely — including when the honest answer is "you don't need us yet."
