Most people who worked at the Nevada Test Site never worked for the government. They worked for one of these companies. The Department of Labor publishes the list, and it runs to 472 names — the prime contractors everyone remembers, and hundreds of drilling outfits, electrical shops, trucking firms, caterers and laundries nobody does.

This is the Department of Labor’s own subcontractor list for the Nevada Test Site, reproduced as DOL publishes it. Type any part of a name — three letters is usually enough.
A company appearing here is a starting point, not an answer. It means DOL records a contractual relationship with the site. When you worked, where on the site you worked, and what a doctor has said about your health since are all still part of it, and DOL decides every claim.

A missing company proves nothing.
DOL says this list is a general-information tool and may not include every subcontractor that worked at a covered facility. Small firms, short contracts and companies that changed hands are exactly the ones most likely to be absent.
So a name that is not on this page is not a closed door. It is a reason to tell someone where you worked and let the record be looked up properly.
The Department of Labor decides every claim. Alara assesses the patient, coordinates the physician documentation and the home-health authorization, and provides the authorized care. It does not file claims and nothing here is a determination of eligibility.

Where does this list come from?
It is the Department of Labor’s BTComp database, which publishes the contractors and subcontractors with known contractual relationships to each facility covered by EEOICPA. This page reproduces DOL’s list for the Nevada Test Site.
My company is on the list. Does that mean I qualify?
No. It means the Department of Labor records a contractual relationship between that company and the site. Eligibility depends on where and when you worked and on a covered illness connected to that work, and DOL decides every claim.
My company is not on the list. Does that mean I do not qualify?
No. DOL states that the list may not include every subcontractor. A missing name is a reason to have the employment record looked up, not a reason to stop.
I worked for a company that changed its name. Which one counts?
The covered facility is what matters, not what the company was called that year. Site security alone has traded as Federal Services, Wackenhut Services, G4S, Centerra and Constellis. Give whichever name you remember.
Does Alara file the claim?
No. Alara provides the home health care an accepted claim pays for. Claim help itself is free through the Department of Labor’s Resource Center, and nobody should be taking a percentage of an award.
